A social comment. A statement piece about all the values everyone seem to be throwing away lately!
What happened to empathy? Decency and respect to one another??
From the GARBAGE CAN collection, this ring is part of a story about today’s society seen through my eyes. The rings were shown at the Nexus exhibition in Rome.
The rings looks like office garbage cans filled with garbage. They are filled with symbols, mostly in the form of words. They symbolize important values that society seems to throw away! But also values we should discard of like racism and hatred.
With this series I express my frustrations and the hope that people think twice about the human values we are losing and what we can do to keep them.
This one is big and white with what looks like beige garbage sticking out and the word "Hatred" stuck in between. I say it is one of the right words to throw away!
The ring is hard to miss and my hope is that it will be a conversation starter!
Wear it and start a dialog!!

Information about the rings
This ring is computer drawn and 3D printed in SLS plastic and filled by hand with silk band and plastic.
In this case the 3D printed plastics and nylons I used are SLS polyamide. It is considered safe since the natural raw material comes from castor beans. The company that prints them cleans and reprocesses a part of the powder from previous printing sessions.
I am also working hard at finding an eco-friendlier and more sustainable substitute to print.
Please treat your ring with care.
Use it, enjoy it and if you must dispose of it, only discard it with plastics. Although this one has a little bit of metal wiring inside.
