Ring with a sharp message!

Ring 3 from my ring series “No more silence” that I won an Award for at the Milano Jewelry Week in 2023! This one was shown in Rome in spring 2024!

At first glance it seems like an elegant, geometrically inspired design-ring, and it is...

But you don’t have to look too close to find a piercing message stamped on the silver strips.

Ring 3 “Silence is not golden”, is a two-finger illusion ring where it looks like you are not wearing a ring…but both the silver strips and the stone look like they are floating between your fingers. And the message is written on the “exposed” strips, therefore much more obvious than the other rings in this series. 

The message I wrote says "FUCK RACISM"

I cannot stay silent! Discrimination, oppression and racism are unfortunately on the rise everywhere you look nowadays! And as an artist, all I can do is try to raise awareness with my art and depict an important statement.

Here’s hoping these rings keep starting conversations like they did in Milan and Rome! 

"SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN " materials and design:

The ring is very comfortable to wear. It is handmade of solid sterling silver with an aquamarine in the middle. Aquamarine is a light blue translucent precious stone and the one in this ring is a charming sea-blue colored stone with inclusions and imperfections that make it one of kind! It is shaped between a dome and a pyramid and is 17,5 mm high including the setting.

They geometric design is inspired by my old school bench, where I, besides picking it up from home, first learned about tolerance and respect.

This ring is a cocktail ring! If you wish to wear it every day, please wear it carefully.

I will send along a jewelry cloth to carefully wipe it with.

PLEASE do not use any alcohol or ammoniac-based products and do not rub it with abrasive materials such as scrubs or brushes.

If you keep it out for long without wearing it, it might tarnish as silver does.

If it gets too tarnished, it is always best to have a trained jeweler do the job!
